Marlyn 'Bud' D. Carlson

Marlyn D. ""Bud"" Carlson, age 81, of Litchfield, MN, died on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Dassel Lakeside Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Ripley Cemetery. Marlyn Douglas Carlson, the son of Louis and Henrietta (Blomker) Carlson, was born on June 17, 1931 in Litchfield, MN. He received his education in Litchfield and served in the US Army. He was united in marriage to Laura Welsand in their home on July 17, 1965. Throughout his life, Bud worked at the Esbjornson's Lumber Yard in Litchfield, Hutchinson Technology and Cozy Cab. He enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He is survived by his step-son Bob Welsand; 3 step-grandchildren Sarah, Shannon and Tammy; step-great granddaughter Alexa; and brothers Wayne and Dick.
