Marlene S. Midtling

Marlene S. Midtling, age 70, of Litchfield, MN, died on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her home in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held in the Dassel Community Cemetery in Dassel, MN at a later date. Marlene Sharon Midtling, the daughter of Menser and Helen (Leason) Midtling was born in Cokato, MN on March 31, 1944. She grew up in Grove City, where she graduated from the Grove City High School in 1962. She lived in Dassel for many years before moving to Litchfield in 1999. Marlene worked at Bernie's Fairway Grocery Store in Litchfield and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Marlene was very patriotic and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, walking, listening to opera music, gardening and growing plants. Marlene is survived by her brother Bradley Midtling of Litchfield, MN; sister Debbie (Gary) Bengtson of Urbandale, Iowa; brother-in-law Al Pfingsten of Becker, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
