Marjorie D. Larson

Marjorie D. Larson, age 85, of Litchfield died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at the Lakeside Ranch south of Darwin. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at a later date in the Ripley Cemetery. Marjorie Donna Larson, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Ditlevson) Larson, was born on March 9, 1926 in Litchfield. She grew up in Danielson Township and graduated from Grove City High School in 1944. After graduating she and her twin sister Marilyn went to Minneapolis to work for a short time before both returned to the Litchfield area. Marjorie then worked for the telephone company for a short time before becoming a nurse's aid. She worked at Meeker Memorial Hospital and then at Bethany Home retiring in the mid 80's. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles, watching television and most importantly she loved caring for her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her siblings, LeMoine (and Peggy) Larson of Sun City, AZ, and Marlene (and Gaylord) Fagerland of Moorhead, MN. She was survived by her twin sister, Marilyn Olson. She is also survived by her brother in law, Art Olson of Litchfield, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
