Marilyn R. Judd, age 86, of Litchfield, MN, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her home in Litchfield, 16 days short of her 87th birthday, surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior the service at church on Friday. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Marilyn R. (Gunderson) Judd was born, (the first of twins) to George B. and Marie O. (Erickson) Gunderson on Dec 4th, 1927 in Willmar, Minnesota. The family resided on the Gunderson Homestead in Kandiyohi County until 1931 when the family moved to Meeker County. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1946 and taught school in rural Meeker County 4+ years. On October 1, 1949 she was united in marriage to Wilbur Judd of Grove City, in a double ring wedding ceremony along side her twin sister Marcy at Zion Lutheran Church. To this union, four children were born; Gary, Debra, Alan and Jayna. Marilyn was a ""people"" person. She so enjoyed working with others. The family farmed in Danielson Township until 1969 when they moved to Litchfield. Marilyn worked at Meeker County Hospital and from 1973 until her retirement in December 1992. Marilyn's hobbies included reading and book club, baking, making lefse (53, 000+ pieces!), camping, and being with family & friends. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church and participated in sewing circle and ladies Bible studies. In retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the hospital gift shop and information desk and continued her many hobbies. Surviving are her children: Gary (Mary) of Andover, MN, Debra of Austin, TX Alan (Debra) of Pine Springs, MN and Jayna (Jeff Hiser) of Austin, TX; seven grandsons, four granddaughters and 12 great grandchildren. Also, twin sister Marcelyn Radunz, brother in law Willard Franz, sister in law Dorothy Gunderson; cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Wilbur in 2006, great granddaughter, Alivia in 2011, brother Wendell, sister Marlys, sister in law Mildred and her husband Geoff, brother in law Don, parents, step-mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
