Margaret 'Margie' Young

Margaret 'Margie' L. Young, age 63, of Grove City, MN died on December 6, 2011 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Margaret 'Margie' Leona Young, the daughter of Vernon and Phyliss (Krausert) was born on July 17, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN. She received her education at St. Mary's Catholic School. Throughout her life Margie has lived in St. Cloud, MN, Sioux Falls, SD, Howard Lake, MN, Kimball, MN, Litchfield, MN and Grove City, MN. Margie was united in marriage to Floyd Young in Litchfield, MN on April 19, 1994 and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Litchfield, MN. She had been a waitress, a house keeper, a home health care worker and a truck driver. She enjoyed taking care of pets and animals, making crafts, gardening, making floral arrangements for her home, making quilts for her kids and grandchildren, putting together care packages for her children and spending time with her family. She will be remember as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Margie is survived by her husband Floyd of Litchfield, MN; children Brad (and Terri) Birkholtz of Clear Lake, MN, Carmen Anders of Bloomington, MN, Melissa Anders of Bettendorf, IA, Crystal Anders of Minneapolis, MN and Jennifer Anders of Minneapolis, MN; stepchildren, Anthony James Young of Greenfield, IN, Kathy K. Geohring of Portland, OR and Daniel Lee Young of Portland, OR; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Chuck Selsler.
