Margaret Johnson

Margaret L. Johnson, age 84, of Litchfield, MN, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor David Sorensen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Margaret Lillie Johnson, the daughter of Harry and Emma (Henderson) Bakeberg was born on March 15, 1925 in Woodland Township, Wright County, MN. She received her education in Howard Lake, graduating from the Howard Lake High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Donald Johnson in Howard Lake, MN on June 5, 1948. In 1979, they moved from Harvey Township, where they had been farming, to the Brainerd Lakes area where they lived for 11 years. They moved to Litchfield in 1990. They wintered in Arizona for 15 years until 2002. Margaret was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, where she was active with WELCA. She enjoyed baking, gardening, crocheting and embroidery. She also enjoyed Lawrence Welk and spending time with her family and friends. Margaret is survived by her children Bonnie (and Tony) Ogdahl of Spicer, MN, Kathy (and Gary) Cervin of Darwin, MN and Dale (and Terri) Johnson of Forest City, MN; 7 grandchildren Corey (and Kris) Cervin, Scott (and Erin) Ogdahl, Alison (and Brent) Jergens, Melissa (and Mike) Kielty, Chad (and Heather) Ogdahl, Michele (and Tony) Shnyder and Miranda Johnson; and 7 great grandchildren Gabriel and Joshua Jergens, Keira and Kaleb Shnyder, Tanner Kielty, Cade Cervin and Zachary Ogdahl. She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Emma; her husband Donald in 2007; and a brother Vernon Bakeberg.
