Luella Angier

Luella E. Angier, age 89, of Cokato, formerly of Litchfield, MN, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Cokato Manor Chapel, Cokato, MN with Pastor Allen Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at the Cokato Manor Chapel on Saturday. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Luella Emmogene Angier, the daughter of Earl and Bertha (Tuman) Hutchins, was born in Litchfield, MN, on April 13, 1920. She grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School. As a child she could rollerskate like the wind with her clamp on skates and her skate key hanging around her neck. She lived in Litchfield her entire life. She was united in marriage to James Emerson Angier at the Litchfield United Methodist Church on August 25, 1940 in Litchfield, MN. Luella was a housewife, a mother and worked as a Trained Medical Assistant at Augustana Homes in Litchfield for 17 years. She had been an active member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church, the UMW and the PTA. Luella enjoyed sewing, music, puppies, babies and children. She also enjoyed good food and cooking it for her family. She loved her family and they love her and will miss her terribly. Luella is survived by her husband James of Cokato, formerly of Litchfield, MN; children Lynn (and John) Yen of Hastings, MN, Jennifer (and Bill) Francois of Houston, Texas, Kevin (and Lois) Angier of Litchfield, MN and Michele (and Todd) Thompson of Minot, North Dakota; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren She is also survived by her brother Douglas (and Eileen) Hutchins of LeRoy, MN and sister-in-law Myrt Hutchins of Bloomington, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bertha; a brother Warren; a sister Evelyn Couser; and brother-in-law Adrian Couser. Memorials may be made to Brookridge Assisted Living, Cokato, MN.
