Luella T. Anderson

Luella T. Anderson, age 84 of Litchfield, MN died on Thursday May 2, 2019 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service in Litchfield and will continue one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be held in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Luella Thrina Anderson, the daughter of Carl and Viola Hovey, was born in Litchfield, MN on July 22, 1934. She attended country school in Grove City and was united in marriage to Marlin Anderson on July 15th, 1966 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grove City MN. Luella worked at the Litchfield Dairy Queen and a Litchfield Hotel before she worked in food preparation at the Litchfield Hospital. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was active with the Ness Church Preservation Society. She had a quiet personality and was very tenacious about finishing what she started. Luella was a good mother and homemaker who thrived on keeping her home neat and clean. She enjoyed puzzles, word finds, feeding the birds, gardening, cooking, playing croquet and Chinese checkers, listening to old country, bluegrass and polka music and fishing with her grandchildren. Luella is survived by her son Carl (Brenda) Anderson of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren April and Troy; brother Carl (Mary Ann) Hovey of Sheboygan, WI; nephew Mike (Kelly) Hovey; and great nephew Evan. She was preceded in death by her husband Marlin; and parents Carl and Viola.
