Lucille Shoutz

Lucille I. Shoutz, age 80, of Litchfield, died on January 7, 2009 at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Church of St. Gertrude, Forest City, MN at 3:00 PM with Father Pat Casey as Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday at Augustana Memorial Chapel, Litchfield, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Gertrude’s Catholic Cemetery, Forest City, MN. Arrangements are with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. Lucille Irene Shoutz was born on April 10, 1928, in Darwin Township, Meeker County, MN to Louis and Martha (Halliday) Wimmer. Lucille grew up in Forest City, and graduated from Litchfield High School. She worked at Finger Hut in Cokato, MN, Jennie-O in Litchfield, MN and retired after working for the Toro Company in Plymouth, MN. She was a member of the Church of St. Gertrude in Forest City. A mother of 10 children, she will be remembered for her cooking, canning, baking and sewing abilities. Lucille loved chocolate, coffee, flowers, especially tulips and spending time socializing with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, walking, watching soap operas, and playing cards and bingo. Lucille is survived by her sons Cliff (and Jodi) Shoutz of Chaska, Mike (and Robbie) Shoutz of Atwater, Rick Shoutz of Rosendale, Raymond (and Wanda) Shoutz of Atwater, Pat (and Diane) Shoutz of Rosendale and J.R. Milton Shoutz of Litchfield; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and sister Eileen (and George) Mihlbauer of Litchfield. She is also survived by her former husband Milton and 5 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Martha; children Connie Lee, Louise James, Leslie Wayne and Gregory David; and brothers Lawrence and Jim.
