Lucile Doris Danielson

Lucile D. Danielson, age 94, of Litchfield formerly of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2011 at Meeker Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on June 1, 2011 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Kerr officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Interment will be held 10am on June 2, 2011 at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Burnsville, MN. Lucile Doris Danielson, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Swedell) Parsons was born on April 3, 1917. She grew up and received her education in Minneapolis graduating from Roosevelt High School. She was united in marriage to Bertil E. Danielson on August 6, 1941. They made their home in the Twin Cities area. Her husband worked for Northwest Airlines for 38 years and she loved to travel and attend airline social events. She traveled extensively in the continental U.S., Hawaii and Alaska. Following her husbands retirement they made their home in Spring Hill, Florida. However, they moved back to Minnesota after Bert passed away in 1981. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1296 and Northwest Airlines Retirement Club. Lucile enjoyed watching sports especially the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings. Lucile enjoyed playing piano and you could often hear her playing on WDGY radio station. Lucile is survived by sister Phyllis (and Glenn) Markland of Peoria, AZ and sister Beatrice Hilliker of Mohave Valley AZ, two sons, Gary and his loving wife Margo of Baxter, MN and Brian of Litchfield, MN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Marie Parsons, beloved husband Bert E., brothers Lloyd of Minneapolis, and Orville of Sacramento, CA, sister Bernice of Long Beach CA.
