Loyce Marlyce Knutson

Loyce M. Knutson, age 77, of Grove City, MN died on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City, MN. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Arndahl Lutheran Cemetery. Loyce Marlyce Knutson, the daughter of Harold and Lovey Carlson, was born on July 10, 1938 in Lake Elizabeth Township in Kandiyohi County. She graduated from Atwater High School in 1956 and continued her education at St. Cloud State College. Loyce was united in marriage to Allan Knutson at the Tripolis Lutheran Church in rural Kandiyohi on December 14, 1957. She worked as a paraprofessional at the Grove City Elementary School for 27 years and also as a Pioneerland librarian at the Grove City Library for 28 years. She was a member of the Arndahl Lutheran Church from 1957 until it burned down in 1990, and the congregation merged to form Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. She enjoyed being active at church with WELCA, the Quilters Group and Trinity Visitors. Loyce is survived by her husband Allan Knutson of Grove City, MN; children Loree (Brent) Schultz of Litchfield, MN and Larry (Brenda) Knutson of Browerville, MN; grandchildren Holly (Darrin) Anderson, Kristyna (Daryl) Belshan, Logan Knutson, Kale Knutson, Lindsey (Brian) Sand and Kacy (Nick) Simes; great grandchildren Carter, Emmalyn and Klara Belshan and Lucy and Lily Sand; brother Loren (Debbie) Carlson of Lake Lillian, MN; and sisters-in-law Adeline Buck of Litchfield, MN and Evelyn Livesay of Caldwell, Idaho.
