Louise A. Schultz, age 89, of Grove City, died on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Louise Ann Schultz (Pratt) was born on June 6th, 1923 to John and Mae Pratt (Dickinson) in Grove City, MN and passed away on November 26th, 2012 in Litchfield, MN. Louise attended school in Grove City and graduated with the Grove City HS Class of 1941. Louise married Lloyd on September 17th, 1942 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Litchfield. They made their homes in Litchfield and Grove City. Louise was a housewife when Lloyd fought during WWII. Following this time in their lives, they farmed and raised their children. Louise also worked at several restaurants in the area following WWII, in Lake Lillian, Litchfield and then Louise opened her own restaurant in Grove City, the ""Coffee Shop"" and operated it for 13 years. After closing the restaurant, Louise worked for the Hilltop Café and the Woolen Mills in Litchfield. Following her retirement, Louise loved to fish, read, play bingo and quilting. She loved gifting her quilts to her children and grandchildren. Louise was also an excellent cook and passed much of this knowledge on to her children and grandchildren. She loved her children, grandchildren and cherished every get together. Louise and Lloyd also enjoyed travelling to the annual Rainbow Division conventions and she was a member of the Ladies Rainbow Auxiliary. Being a WWII and Korean war era wife, Louise was fiercely independent and lived in her own home until August 2012 when health issues necessitated her move to Ecumen Homes in Litchfield. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd in 1994, brothers John and Howard, nephew John Jr., and great granddaughter Kali Renee. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Robert) Larsen of Grove City, Shelvia (Lee) Reese of Cambridge, MN, Steve (Sandra) Schultz of Grove City, Daniel (Mary) Schultz of St. Stephen, MN, Robin Johnson (and special friend Andy and son Alex) of Hutchinson, MN, grandchildren Jason (Tiffany) Schultz of Spring, Texas, Tracy (Shane) Herdina of Sartell, MN, Colby (Aimee) Reese of Lake Elmo, MN, Alex (Chrissy) Reese of Oakdale, MN, Jason (Nicki) Webb of Grove City, Shawn Webb (and David Kinert) of White Bear Lake, MN, and Kelsy Johnson of Hutchinson, MN, brother Doug Pratt (Mary) of Grove City, sisters Margie Beck of Jacksonville, FL, Mae Baynes of Maryland, Nancy (Jack) Boucher of Taylors Falls, MN and brother-in-law Ron Schultz (Margie) of Montana.
