Lorraine A. Lounsbury

Lorraine A. Lounsbury, age 80, of Litchfield, MN, died on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at St. Matthews United Church of Christ in Forest City, MN with Pastor Jeanne Bringgold-Pro officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN with a 6:30 Prayer service and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Lorraine Ardis Lounsbury, the daughter of Fillmore and Lucille (Coline) Topp was born on January 1, 1931 in Eden Lake Township, Stearns County, MN. She was baptized on July 7, 1931. She received her education at the Paynesville High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Dewey Lounsbury on January 22, 1949 and was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Eden Valley, MN. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards and feeding and watching birds. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and playing boards games with her grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her husband Dewey of Litchfield, MN; children Bonnie (and Terry) Ash of Milaca, MN, Rocky (and Peggy) Lounsbury of Hutchinson, MN, Roger (and Julie) Lounsbury of Litchfield, MN, Becky (and Wade) Kindseth of Litchfield, MN, Kris (and Von) Grotto of Litchfield, MN and Jackie (and John) McCann of Grove City, MN; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 great step-grandchild and sister-in-law Ann Topp of Paynesville, MN.
