Lori A. Wandersee

Lori A. Wandersee, age 47, of Clara City, MN, died after a courageous battle with cancer on September 21, 2010 at her home in Clara City. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield with military honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Lori Anne Wandersee, the daughter of Rueben and Harriet (Baird) Bahr was born on February 4, 1963, in Litchfield. She grew up and received her education in Litchfield, graduating from the Litchfield High School in 1981. After high school she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as a Military Police at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. After her service she moved to the Chicago area and attended cosmetology school. She worked as a cosmetologist for a short time before moving to live with her sister in Willmar. On May 7, 1994, she was united in marriage to Ron Wandersee at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. They lived in the Willmar area before buying their home north west of Clara City in 1997. Lori enjoyed camping, reading and collecting porcelain bears. She thoroughly enjoyed living in her country home and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lori is survived by her husband, Ron Wandersee of Clara City, children; Andrea (and Dustin) Hentges of Cottonwood, Adam Rutherford of St. Cloud and Meagan Wandersee of Clara City, grandchildren; Ashley, Taylor and Kaylee, brothers Dave (and Linda) Bahr of Litchfield, James (and Kari) Bahr of Watertown, SD, Kenneth (and Kathy) Bahr of Bird Island, and Harold Bahr of Litchfield, sisters; Diane Grimsgard of Grove City and Elaine Geurtz of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law; Dave Klein and Danny Wallin, besides other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Kathleen Klein and Karen Wallin.
