Lloyd John Kuehl

Lloyd J. Kuehl, age 96, of Litchfield died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Augustana Memorial Chapel in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Lloyd John Kuehl, the son of August and Anna (Ross) Kuehl, was born on March 9, 1918, in Forest City Township. On January 4, 1941, he was united in marriage to Margaret Pennertz. He farmed with his family until 1947 when they moved to Litchfield. Lloyd began working at Kohlhoff's Super Valu and continued as produce manager for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Forest City. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid Twins Fan. He is survived by his children, Margaret (and Jim) Dilley of Eagan, Steven (and Nancy) Kuehl of Westford, MA, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret, son Stanley, brothers Walter, William, Ken and sister Gladys.
