Linda Marie Curry

Linda Curry, 63 of Litchfield, died on Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home in Litchfield. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 25th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City. Linda was born on May 14, 1952, in Litchfield, MN to Franklin and Gloria (Hartz) Pehle. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grove City, MN. Linda graduated from Grove City High School in 1970, she then attended nursing school at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, where she graduated from in 1973. On August 11, 1973, she was united in marriage to Jim Curry. God blessed this marriage with three children, Trisha, Pamela, and Matthew. In 2011, Linda retired from Meeker Memorial Hospital after a 38 year career in nursing. Becoming a nurse was a goal she had set for herself back in 1st grade, and she loved every minute of it! Jim and Linda had a passion for collecting pottery, especially Red Wing. They enjoyed going to auctions and especially looked forward to their annual trip to Gold Rush Days in Oronoco where they spent many hours looking for treasures. Although she never professed to being a master gardener, Linda spent countless hours in her flower beds and loved teaching her grandchildren about gardening. Linda enjoyed sharing her faith by being a member of the Rebekah Circle and by singing in the church choir for over 25 years, both at Immanuel and Trinity churches. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, listening to their funny stories and especially snuggling with them. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jim. Their three children, Trisha and Glendon Caron of Litchfield, Pamela Riebe of New Ulm, and Matthew and Jess Curry of Crookston, grandchildren Lia and Olive Caron and Joseph and Kathryn Riebe. She is also survived by her mother Gloria Pehle of Litchfield, sister Cheryl Newton of San Bruno CA, brother and sister in law Frank and Karen Pehle of Litchfield, brother in law and sister in law Steve and Carol Curry of St. Paul, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda was proceeded in death by her father Franklin, father in law and mother in law Bill and Kay Curry, brother in law Skip Newton and ""brother in law"" David Grant.
