Linda E. Boeder, age 97, of Litchfield, MN, died on May 3, 2011 at the Bryant Parkview Care Center in Bryant, South Dakota. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills with Pastor David Markworth officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Litchfield Area Hospice. Linda Elissa Boeder, the daughter of Hans and Mary (Edwardson) Dahl, was born on February 23, 1914 in Northwood, North Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota, where she was Baptized and Confirmed. She moved to Minnesota for work and met Reuben at a dance in Cedar Mills. She was united in marriage to Reuben on July 2, 1944 in Cedar Mills. They moved to rural Cosmos, MN, where they farmed. In 1959, they built a house in Cosmos, where they lived together until Reuben's death. She then lived in Emmaus Place, Emmanuel Home and Bethany Home in Litchfield, before moving to South Dakota. Linda helped on the farm, was a custodian in the Cosmos School and worked at Green Giant in Glencoe. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills, where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, embroidering, gardening, and fishing. She will be remembered for her excellent housekeeping and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda is survived by her children, Jeanne (and Ken) Swyers of Litchfield, MN, Janet (and Lee) Jacobson of Sioux Falls, SD and Terry (and Lavonne) Boeder of Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Troy (and Candee) Gassman of Litchfield, MN, Kristi (and Weston) Scott of Hutchinson, MN, Bret (and Shauna) Jacobson of Sioux Falls, SD, Brad (and Shannon) Jacobson of Sioux Falls, SD, Sarah (and Mat) Miller of Tuscon, AZ, Noah Boeder who is stationed in New Mexico and Zach Boeder of Tuscon, AZ; great grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Carlee, Jaedon, McKenzi, Logan and Sam; and many nieces and nephews.
