Lewis Kent Miller of Litchfield died at the VA Medical Center in St Cloud, Minnesota on June 24, 2013. Lewis was born October 25, 1928. He grew up in Grove City, Minnesota and is a 1946 graduate of Grove City High School. Following high school, he enlisted in what was then the Army Air Corps (now the U.S. Air Force). Lewis served in the Army of Occupation in Japan following World War II. During the Korean War, he was based with the 92nd Bomber Wing which earned him a Korean War Service ribbon. He also served in the Vietnam War. He retired in 1975 after a 27 year career in the Air Force. In 1953, he married Genevieve (Ginny) Hedge and they settled in San Antonio, Texas. After Ginny's death in 1985, Lewis moved to Litchfield, Minnesota. He married Marilyn Miller and continued living in Litchfield. Lew enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Lewis is survived by his wife Marilyn, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Minnie, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and wife Ginny. Per Lewis's request, no (funeral) services will be held. A military burial will take place at a later date at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
