Lee Ann Houselog

Lee Ann Francis Houselog, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on June 6, 2024, at Sophia House Cura in Willmar, MN.  She was born on July 25, 1940 to Arnold and Adeline (Norberg) Heining and grew up on a farm north of Atwater, MN.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church rural Atwater.

ln 1956 she married Wayne Schroeder and they had three sons John, Steve, and Rod.  They farmed in rural Atwater until Wayne passed away in 1979.  In 1983 she married Bill Houselog.  She was active in church activities, farming, gardening, sewing, quilting, and most of all cooking family favorites like fried chicken and potato salad.

A private family service will be held later with interment at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Atwater; and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on June 22, 2024 at the Schroeder Farm, 2533 195th Street SE, Atwater, MN.

She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter-in-law Lori Schroeder of Atwater, sons Steven Schroeder of Svea, Rod and Denise Schroeder of Atwater; grandchildren Michael, Stephanie (special friend Justin Gronseth), Justin & Taylor, Shania, Jillayna, Brayden, and Kyan; great grandchildren Jett and Jade; sister Sherry Elton; sister-in-law Barb Heining and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, son John, brothers LeRoy and Frank, and grandson Brock.
