Laura Lee Minks

Laura Lee Minks, age 80, of Litchfield, MN died on November 4, 2024 at Harmony River in Hutchinson, Minnesota. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday November 15, 2024 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral & Cremation in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private Interment will be held in Forest City, MN. The service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com

Laura Lee Minks, the daughter of Richard and Alvina Rohrbeck, was born on August 27, 1944. After graduating from Litchfield High School in 1962, she went on to beauty school. After graduating beauty school, she became a beautician for her family and friends. Laura waitressed and bartended for many years and retired her working career as a secretary for Menkin Realty. In 1980, Laura was united in marriage to Larry Minks in Litchfield, Minnesota. 

Laura was a passionate crafter who loved to attend various scrapbooking and stamping retreats with friends. She also enjoyed spending much time crocheting blankets and doing many other creative projects with her hooks and yarn. Some of her favorite things to do were traveling and camping with Larry and their friends throughout the United States. She enjoyed collecting patches and/or souvenirs from all of the many places they adventured together. 

Laura is survived by her sons, Stacy (Socorro) Reed of Litchfield, Shawn (Beth) Reed of Maple Grove and Scott (Linda) Reed of Shakopee; step-children, Lori Dvorak, Larry S. Minks and Wallace Minks; brothers, Art (Diane) Rohrbeck, Mike Rohrbeck and Richard Rohrbeck; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alvina, brother, Ronald Rohrbeck, step-daughter, Amy Minks, and is happily reunited with her husband, Larry.
