Larry Lyle Anderson, of Litchfield, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 13, 2020, at the age of 79. A walk-through visitation will be held at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. The family asks that attendees please wear a mask.
Born on July 29, 1940, to Willard and Viola (Thomas) Anderson, Larry was raised in Lake Lillian, Minnesota. He graduated from high school in 1958. A year later, he married the love of his life, Audrey Hedtke, on the cool day of December 12, 1959, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Atwater. They were happily married for the next 60 years. During their life, they lived in Grove City for 22 years and Paynesville for 28 years before residing in Litchfield the past three years. They had two children, Toni Lee Anderson and Deborah Lynn Anderson, and one granddaughter, Claudia Marie Treml. Larry worked many different jobs during his life. He was a Butter Maker in Rosendale for 2 years, managed the Grove City Creamery for 5 years, was an iron worker for 23 years, and ended his final 19 years of work at AIR in Atwater.
Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, visiting family and friends, and especially enjoyed time with his granddaughter, Claudia. He was a Shop Foreman for 19 years before retiring and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He will be remembered as a handy man by many and a loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Hedtke) Anderson of Litchfield; his daughter Deborah Lynn Anderson of Litchfield; and his granddaughter Claudia Marie Treml of Mankato. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Viola (Thomas) Anderson; and his son, Toni Lee Anderson.
