Kyle J. Rotert

Kyle J. Rotert, age 51, of Bovey, MN died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Kyle Jerome Rotert was born April 16, 1963 in St. James, Minnesota to Donald and Naomi (Simons) Rotert. He was raised in Litchfield, MN and was a graduate of Litchfield High School. He was united in marriage to Judi Denny in 1982 in Webster, South Dakota. They had 3 children; Amanda, Naomi and Zachary. Kyle, later joined his second wife in marriage, Lorelei Jackson, on August 30, 1998 in Hill City, MN. By marriage, Kyle gained five more children: James, Bryan, Diane, Suzanne and Misty. He was a doting grandfather to his six grandchildren; Haley, Hayden, Isaiah, Kiera, Keelin and Westlee. Kyle loved his family, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Zach, brother Kurt and brother-in-law Denny. He worked at the Sawmill Inn, in Grand Rapids, MN and he made many life long friends while there. Kyle is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lorelei Rotert, and his three children; Amanda (Ken) Haase of Detroit Lakes, Naomi (Mike) Klaphake of Freeport, and Zachary (Renee) Rotert of Eagle Bend. He also leaves behind, his father Donald Rotert of Litchfield; and his siblings, Donald Jr., John, Lamont, Lexie, Monica, Kevin, Kim, Kurt and Shane. Kyle has many nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him as well.
