Kenneth Dale Cote

Kenneth D. Cote, age 61, of Ham Lake, MN, died on August 31, 2015 in Ham Lake, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 5, 2015 at the Litchfield Christian Church. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Kenneth Dale Cote, the son of Ovide and Donna (Gable) Cote, was born in Garrison, ND on July 4, 1954. He grew up in the Turtle Mountains (Dunseith) ND. Kenneth served in the US Army for six years and lived in various places. He was married to Jean Piram on August 6, 1971, in Aberdeen, SD. They moved many times living in Hazen and Golden Valley, ND and Rockford and Monticello, MN. He also lived in Litchfield, Hutchinson and Florida. He was a member of the Jaycees and Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed playing softball, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, snowmobiling, and working. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children Tammy (Jeremy) Mahaffey of Ooltuwah, TN, Tina (Jess) Olson of Hutchinson, MN and Ken (Kristin) Cote II of Hutchinson, MN; grandchildren Alexis Homan, Kameron Severson, Victoria Homan, Angelina Homan, Kendra Mahaffey, Kerrington Mahaffey, Isaac Olson, Kenny Cote III, Brooke Cote and Nicholas Cote; brothers Allan (Bonnie) Cote of Fifty Lakes, MN, Don (Connie) Cote of Stanton, ND, Bob (Faye) Cote of Otsego, MN; sisters Kathleen Anderson of Chicago, Lorraine Romans of Minot and Margi (Hans) Trepte of Buckeye, AZ; former wife Jean Cote of Elk River, MN.
