Kelly P. Peterson of St. Cloud, formerly of Litchfield, MN, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 42. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with Pastor William Kerr officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Kelly Paul Peterson was born August 4, 1967 in Litchfield, Minnesota. He was the son of Kenneth Peterson and Joann (Rannow) Blankenhagen. He was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in November, 1967 in Litchfield, MN. He received his diploma from Litchfield High School in 1985. He was currently residing in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Kelly worked many years in the construction field operating heavy equipment throughout Minnesota Kelly especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved playing with his nephew and the laughter between those two was unmatched. He was a sports fan and watching the Twins and Vikings was a favorite past time. He liked listening to music and singing along whenever possible. Kelly enjoyed reading and never turned down an opportunity to escape with a good book. He also liked to test his luck at the casino when he got the chance. Kelly touched the lives of many and will be missed by countless more. Kelly is survived by his mother, Joann Blankenhagen; grandmother, Evelyn Rannow; sisters, Kim Furuseth, Amy Carter and her husband Ron; nephew Kayson Carter; brother, Kraig Peterson; aunts, uncles, many beloved cousins and friends. Kelly is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Peterson; grandparents Peg and Charlie Peterson; grandfather, Sidney Rannow; aunt Betty and uncle Howard Hentges, uncle, Glenn Anderson; cousin, Terry Benjamin; and good friend, Scott Keilty The family of Kelly Peterson would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kindness in this time of sorrow. Our wish is that you take the love, joy and happiness you received from Kelly and spread it to those who touch your life. God Bless.
