Kathleen Day

Kathleen (Farley) Day, 91 of Fairbanks Alaska, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2016 at the Caring Bridges Assisted Living Home, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Kathleen was born December 12, 1924 in Lakeville, Mn. to Bernard and Isabelle (Queenan) Farley. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Cemetery in Forest City, MN. She moved to Fairbanks in the late 1940's. She worked as a waitress for the Krize brothers at the Cafe Aurel, dispatched for Yellow Cab and in 1965 she went to work for the City of Fairbanks and retired in 1980. During her retirement Father McGuigan asked her to manage Honest Bingo for the Catholic Church and she did for more then 10 yrs. She is survived by her children, Dick, Mike and Mary all of Fairbanks, a sister Emily and a brother John (Linda). She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Tom, Ken, Doug and James and a sister Jean M. Ickler
