Karen M. Schneider, age 73 of Watkins, MN died on November 23, 2024 at Hilltop Nursing Home in Watkins, MN.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the Church of St. Anthony in Watkins, MN.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at church.  Interment will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Watkins, MN.  

Karen Marie Hintz was born on October 5, 1951 in Hutchinson, Minnesota to Clinton and Audrey Hintz. She grew up in the Eden Valley-Watkins area and graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School in 1969.

She was united in marriage to Dennis Schneider on May 14, 1977. Dennis and Karen raised three children, would go on to welcome two granddaughters, and were married for 47 wonderful years. She ran an in-home daycare for many years and was employed at various manufacturing plants and warehouses throughout the area until her retirement. Karen loved spending time with her family and friends and treasured her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going on casino trips and looked forward to weekly breakfast dates with her husband. Karen loved music from the '60s and '70s, and also enjoyed tending to the lawn and plants at home. Karen was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Watkins and active with CCW.

Karen is survived by her husband Dennis of Watkins; children, Tim of Big Lake, Minn., Kathy (Toby Grace) of Farmington, Minn., and Mark of Watkins; granddaughters Tori Schneider and Tessa Schneider, both of Cold Spring; brother Roger Hintz of Litchfield; sister Ruth Darcy of Greeley, Colo.; and many loving relatives and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Audrey Hintz; sister Renee Topp; brother-in-law Bill Schneider; father-in-law Al Schneider; mother-in-law Olga Schneider; and nephew Kevin Schneider.
