Karen Kathrine Anderson

Karen K. Anderson, age 71, of Litchfield died on Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Meeker memorial Hospital in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the Corner Stone Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 26th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Karen Kathrine Anderson, the daughter of Emil and Martha (McStott) Bartz, was born on October 21, 1941, in Darwin. She grew up in the Darwin area and attended school there. She graduated from Litchfield High School. She was united in marriage to Eugene Anderson on June 21, 1956 in Darwin. They lived in Florida while Eugene was in the military. They returned to Minnesota and lived in Darwin for about three years before they moved to their home on Lake Ripley. Karen worked a various jobs while raising her three children. Karen also ran K & E Furriers. She enjoyed gardening, canning and making fur garments. She is survived by her husband Eugene Anderson of Litchfield, son, Richard (and Donna) Anderson of Litchfield and daughter, Katrina Lustfield and special friend Bill Haight of Sioux Falls, SD, three grandchildren: Michael Lustfield, Filisha Lustfield, and Ryan (and Hayley) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Scott Anderson.
