Joyce Ness

Joyce Ness, age 88, of Litchfield died on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with Chaplain Roger Klinghagen officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Ness Memorial Cemetery near Litchfield. Joyce Eldora Marie Ness, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Olson) Tostenson, was born on December 14, 1921, in New Sweden Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1940. She continued her education at a business college in Minneapolis. Joyce worked as an executive secretary for the Toro Company in the Twin Cities. On February 15, 1975 she was united in marriage to Charles Ness at the Ness Church. They lived in the twin cities until they moved to Palisade, MN. They began wintering in Texas in the early 1990’s. Joyce enjoyed traveling, quilting and painting. She is survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, two sisters; June and Viola, and three brothers; William, Clifford and Henry.
