John Paul Pesola, age 29, formerly of Lakeville, died on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield after a 19 month long battle with cancer. Memorial service will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Hosanna Church in Lakeville, Minnesota. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Park. In lieu of flowers monetary donations are preferred. He was born July 23, 1985 to Larry and Patricia (Hess) Pesola in USAF Hospital at RAF Lakenheath, England. He resided in RAF Wethersfield, England. John also lived in San Antonio, Texas and Mt. Home AFB, Idaho before moving to Minnesota in 1995. He attended Lakeville High School where he graduated in 2003. From there he went on to Dakota County Technical College until 2007. While attending DCTC he joined forces with Tree Trust where he helped with different projects throughout the community. John worked for ProAct in Eagan doing piecework. He also attended Kota Connections where he would go to different outings such as dances, sporting events and played softball. After moving to Litchfield John began working at ATHC in Hutchinson. He enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, fast cars, wrestling, sports, playing video games, and it was rare if you saw him and he wasn't riding his bike. John had the positive attitude that everyone he met was his friend and that is why he touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. John is survived by his parents Larry and Patricia Pesola of Litchfield; sister Ann (Brad) Cyrus of Litchfield; nieces: Kristina-Marie, Ashleigh, and Alyssa; uncles: Doug Hess of Litchfield, Dale (Pat) Pesola, and Ronald Hess. He is further survived by many cousins, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Klasnich, uncles Ronald Pesola, Donald Pesola, and Richard Hess.
