Jeffrey Lynn Puckett

Jeffrey L. Puckett, age 64, of Litchfield died on Friday, June 17, 2016 after a five year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 23rd at the church and also one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Jeffrey Lynn Puckett, the son of Albert and Lillian (Rosevold) Puckett, was born on June 26, 1951, in Milaca, MN. His family moved several times while he was young and settled in Litchfield during his sophomore year. He graduated from Litchfield High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam and one in Germany. Following his service he returned to Litchfield and worked at the waste water facility. He then worked in construction doing concrete work. For approximately the last 20 years of his working career he worked for Rare Earth Coating as a Vacuum Technician. He was united in marriage to Mary Koopman on June 5, 1976 at the Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Mary Puckett of Litchfield; children Willy (and Nola) Puckett of Monticello and Stacy Puckett of Litchfield; grandchildren, Ashlee, Briella, Gavin and Mabel. He is also survived by his siblings; Steve Puckett of Litchfield, Danny (and Robin) Puckett of Grove City, Tim Puckett of Indianapolis, IN, Karl Puckett of Great Falls, MT, Kathy (and Roger) Allen of Chaska, MN, Donna (and Harry) Bracey of Madison, WI, Wendy Puckett (and Dave Mallak) of Silver Lake, MN and mother-in-law Gerda Koopman of Litchfield, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Bryon Allen, father-in-law Wilbert Koopman and bother-in-law Dale Koopman.
