Jean Marie Ickler, age 76, of Tacoma, WA, formerly of St. Cloud and Ogilvie, MN, died on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Alpha Zoe Adult Family Home in Tacoma, WA. The cause of death was a long term illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Forest City, with Father Joseph Steinbeisser as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Rosary at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held in the St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Forest City, MN. Jean Marie Ickler, the daughter of Bernard and Isabel (Queenan) Farley was born on June 2, 1934 in Kingston Twp., Meeker County, MN. Jean graduated from Litchfield High School, raised a family of 4 children in Ogilvie, MN and later moved to the St. Cloud area where she graduated from St. Cloud Vo. Tech as a secretary and worked for St. Cloud State Alumni Services, Reinert Construction, Coborns and retired from Cashwise Bakery in 1999. In 2002 she moved to Tacoma, WA to be with her loving companion Gordy Cruser where he took care of her and was there for her until her death. Jean is survived by her loving companion, Gordy Cruser of Tacoma, WA; children Deb (Terry) Thorkelson of Brainerd, MN; Jim (LeeAnn) Ickler of Princeton, MN, Bill Ickler and partner (Jeff Crews) of Fresno, CA and Bob Ickler of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Amber, Briana, Lee, Toni, Derek (Lindsey) Sandin, and Dylan Ickler, great grandchildren Skye and Hank Sandin; sisters Kathleen and Emily and brother John (Linda). She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Tom, Ken, Doug and James.
