Janice B. Westrup

Janice B. Westrup, age 77, of Litchfield, MN, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at the Bethesda Heritage Home in Willmar. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at the Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Janice Betsy Westrup, the daughter of Oscar and Marjorie (Neuman) Anderson was born on July 21, 1937 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1955. Janice then worked for First District Association. She married Waldo Haag in 1958 and began working as the business manager for Fenton Motors. Janice was later united in marriage to Al Westrup. She was an active member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed living and working on the Spruce Shadows Farm and was a member of the Holstein Association and the Corn Growers Association. Janice also enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting, and being social with her friends and family. Janice appreciated music throughout her entire life, playing the trumpet in High School and singing for many weddings and funerals. She is survived by her children Dinah Haag of Frankfort, Michigan, Barb (and Del) Wagner of Litchfield, MN and Sue Haag of Gothenburg, Sweden; grandchildren Kristin Wagner and Thomas Wagner; great grandchildren Ethan Moat, Evan Moat and Oliver Kalkbrenner; niece Kathryn Nelson; and cousins Auggie Anderson and June Marie (Veral) Mosbeck.
