Janet Moberg

Janet A. Moberg, age 72, of Litchfield died at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield on August 15, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield with Father Joseph Steinbeisser officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church with a parish prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. The Rosary will be prayed by the Daughters of Isabella at 9:45 AM on Thursday. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Janet Ann Moberg, the daughter of George and Deloris (Nyman) Ardolf, was born on May 29, 1938 in Rich Valley Township, McLeod County, MN. She attended District 51 country school and then St. Joseph Catholic School in Silver Lake. After school she worked on the family farm for a few years. In 1957, she married Francis Kaminsky. She lived in Willmar, then Raymond. On August 25, 1972, she was united in marriage to Allan Moberg in Watertown, SD. They moved to Atwater. In 1975, they moved to Litchfield. Janet was a member of the church of St. Philip, Daughters of Isabella, and Eagles Auxiliary. Janet thoroughly enjoyed her role as a home maker. She loved spending time with her family and taught her children many of her enjoyments. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She also embroidered, sewed and made clothing. Janet enjoyed the company of her dogs and cats after her children left home. She is survived by her children; Keith (and Arlene) Kaminsky of Dale City, VA, Kevin Kaminsky of Raymond, Karen (and Kevin) Johnson of Faribault, Kathy (and Scott) Skalberg of Dassel and Kerry (and Jennifer) Moberg of Elk River, eight grandchildren; Amy Lee Kaminsky, Valerie (and Robbie) Honaker, Dustin Skalberg, Camille Thomas, Jacob Kaminsky, Daniel Kaminsky, Amanda Kaminsky, and Brandon Skalberg and great grandchildren; Logan Honaker, Tristan Kaminsky and Hunter Kaminsky. She is also survived by her brother Larry (and JoAnn) Ardolf of Lester Prairie and sister Kay (and Gary) Nowak of Silver Lake. She was proceded in death by her husband Allan, parents George & Deloris Ardolf & brother Dale Ardolf.
