Jane M. Steichen

Jane Marie Steichen, age 64, of Litchfield, MN, died on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Rice Hospital, in Willmar Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with a 7:00 PM prayer service and visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Litchfield. Jane Marie Steichen, the daughter of Bernard and Clara (Schaefer) Steichen, was born on December 2, 1951 in Litchfield, MN. She grew up and received her education in Litchfield, graduating from Litchfield High School in 1969. She was employed at the Litchfield Garment Company, the Litchfield Office Supply Company, Pamida and Walmart. She was a member of the Church of St. Philip. Jane enjoyed reading, sewing, baking and putting together care packages for her nieces and nephews during the holidays. She will be remembered as a special aunt, as a caregiver for her parents, and small in stature but big in generosity. Jane is survived by her siblings: Linda (Dennis) Witucki of Silver Lake, MN, Tom (Lois) Steichen of Greencastle, PA, Judy (Robert) Fuller of Seabrook, TX, Ruth (Roy) Johnson of Heron, Montana, Berna (Tom) Gormley of Potomac, Maryland, Frank (Debra) Steichen of North Mankato, MN, Neal Steichen of Litchfield, MN and Mike (Lisa) Steichen of Litchfield, MN; nieces and nephews, Darrin (Jacqueline) Witucki and Eric (Kathy) Witucki; Kyle (Laura) Steichen and Jesse Steichen; David (April) Johnson and Daniel (Jolene) Johnson; Patrick Gormley and Caitlin Gormley; Thea Steichen and Cara (Andy) Kahler, Jacob Steichen, Mathew Steichen and Adam Steichen; great-nieces and nephews: Brandon Witucki, Jase Witucki, Carly Witucki, Cole Witucki, Arthur Steichen, Henry Steichen, Miles Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Eivan Johnson, Nora Kahler, Neville Kahler and Dominick Steichen; and many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Mary Lisa.
