Jane Larson

Jane S. Larson, age 81, of Grove City, MN, died on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City with Pastor Jean Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, Grove City, MN. Jane Shirley Larson, the daughter of Richard and Ruby (Condon) Werner, was born in Litchfield, MN on April 17, 1929. She attended Dassel High School, graduating in 1947. Jane became a rural school teacher after graduating from the Litchfield Normal Training in 1948. On August 19, 1950, she was united in marriage to Myrwin Larson at the First Lutheran Church in Dassel, MN. Jane was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in WELCA, the Circle, Sunday School, Confirmation, V.B.S. and release time. She was also active in Toastmasters, the Sunshine Club and was on the Augustana Board. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, telling stories, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane is survived by her husband Myrwin Larson of Grove City, MN; children Diane Teigland of Bertha, MN, Bryan (and Linda) Larson of Litchfield, MN, Galen (and Chris) Larson of Grove City, MN and Christine (and Daniel) Schneider of Willmar, MN; 6 grandchildren Andrew Larson (and fiancee Nicole), Susan (and Jason) Karnitz, Luke (and Erika) Teigland, Leif Teigland, Charles Schneider and Grant Schneider; 6 great grandchildren Kylie, Kasha, Ava and Mya Teigland and Caleb and Lexi Karnitz; brothers Roger (and Janet) Werner of Darwin, MN and Dale (and Lois) Werner of Battle Lake, MN; sister Joan Bieber of Grand Marias, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Ruby; grandson Patrick Larson and son-in-law Lynn Teigland.
