Jack Soule

John A�A�A½JackA�A�A½ Soule, 86 of Coon Rapids, formerly of Watkins and Kimball and long time resident of Mound, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at his home in Coon Rapids. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 2116 Commerce Blvd, Mound, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Pastor Cheryl Goode will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Bethel United Methodist Memorial Garden in Mound. Arrangements are with the Ertl Funeral Home, Watkins. John A�A�A½JackA�A�A½ Soule was born on January 4, 1925 at Winona, MN. He was the son of Frederick and Gertrude (Ingham) Soule. On August 15, 1950, Jack was united in marriage to Shirley Holm at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Mound. They reside at mound where Jack was employed as Chief Clerk for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 32 years. Jack was a long time member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Mound where he had served as an usher. Following his retirement in 1982, Jack and Shirley moved to Clear Lake near Watkins. They joined the Kimball United Methodist Church and Jack helped build the new church building. About three years ago, Jack and Shirley moved to the Heritage House in Kimball. Shirley passed away there on December 14, 2009. In August of 2010, Jack moved to Coon Rapids to be closer to his children. Jack and Shirley enjoyed traveling and camping and were members of the Good Sam Club. Jack also enjoyed fishing and hunting and he was an avid Twins fan. Jack especially enjoyed living by the lake. Jack is survived by his children, Richard Soule of Pillager, Jackie (Dave) Bowatz of Coon Rapids, Diane Daluge of Elk River, Suzanne Gordon of Maplewood, Jean Hawkins of LeSueur; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Ronald) Sundberg of Mound. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; brothers, Fritz, Bill and Jim Soule.
