Iris E. Topp

Iris Elaine (Tobeck) Topp passed away on August 9, 2018, at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, Minnesota at the age of 86. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. She was born December 26, 1931, in Eden Valley, MN to Eddy and Mina (Wendroth) Tobeck. She was united in marriage to Emerald “Ardell” Topp on April 28, 1951 in Newport News, Virginia where Ardell was stationed in the US Army. Ardell passed away on June 5, 2017. She and Ardell made their home in Fridley, Minnesota for many years before moving to Litchfield. They moved into an assisted living apartment a few years ago. They were members of the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Iris worked at Target in Fridley for many years. She and Ardell wintered in McAllen, Texas several years after retiring. She enjoyed her time at the lake in Eden Valley with her family. Iris is survived by a granddaughter Shelly (Dan) High; granddaughter-in-law Amanda Topp; 5 great grandchildren Morgan, Brendan and Caedan High, Chase and Colton Topp; daughter-in-law Tammy Topp; brothers Edward (Loretta) Tobeck and Ronald (Kathy) Tobeck; sister Shirley Pless, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Eddy and Mina Tobeck; husband Ardell Topp; son Ricky Topp; grandson Shawn Topp; brothers Marvin Tobeck and Merrill Tobeck; brother-in-law Elmer Pless; and sister-in-law Pearl Tobeck.
