Howard Hoffman

Howard R. Hoffman, age 91 of Litchfield, MN, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Ecumen Emmanuel Home, Litchfield, MN. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Cambridge, MN. Howard R. Hoffman, the son of Albert and Nellie (Hodgson) Hoffman, was born on April 27, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. Throughout his life he lived in Minneapolis, Hopkins, Cambridge, Eden Valley and Litchfield. He was united in marriage to Ordella ""Dulla"" Peterson on October 5, 1982. He was a brick layer for many years and was a member of the brick layers union. He went south to Donna, Texas for many winters where he was the long time activities director where he stayed. Howard enjoyed music and was the lead singer in a barbershop quartet and in a men's choir for many years. He also enjoyed taking trips to the casino and travelling. Howard is survived by his wife Ordella ""Dulla"" Peterson-Hoffman of Litchfield, MN; children, Susan (and Lawrence) Tillman of Brooklyn Park, MN, Mike (and Laura) Hoffman of Cambridge, MN, Karen Eaves of Cambridge, MN, Mary (and Dennis) Ernst of Superior, WI, Elaine Ronald (and Elaine) Peterson of Pine City, MN and Gary (and Shirley) Brossard of Mora, MN; sister Betty Johnston of Minneapolis, MN; daughter-in-law Nancy Hoffman of Princeton, MN; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
