She grew up in Baltimore and received her education from the Institute of Notre Dame, graduating in 1938. She continued her education at Eaton Burnette Business School. She met James W. Anderson while he was in the service and they were united in marriage on August 7, 1944. They lived in Florida, Tennessee and Minneapolis before settling in Litchfield in 1946. They owned and operated Anderson Insurance Agency. Henrietta managed her time by raising three children, working at the agency with her husband, as well as enjoying her homemaking responsibilities. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Litchfield Women’s Club. She was an avid enthusiast for Bridge playing and was a member of several clubs. She also enjoyed reading and was very good at crossword puzzles. Family was very important to her. She and Jim traveled often and they enjoyed many family trips together. Time spent at Lake Koronis was very dear to her. She loved evening cruses around the lake and the peaceful serenity of the water. She is also remembered as a wonderful piano player.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Litchfield, children; Barry Anderson (and special friend Lori Boettcher) of Litchfield, Barbara (and Steve) Marsch of Encinitas, CA and Mary Lee Bennett (and special friend Waldermar Sint) of Vail, CO, four grandchildren: Ali Marsch, Evan Marsch, Lindsay Bennett and Sasha Bennett.
