Helen L. Kivi

Helen L. Kivi, age 84 of Litchfield, MN, formerly of Dassel died on Monday February 25, 2019 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Church of St. John in Darwin. Visitation will be held two hours before the service at church. Helen Louise Kivi, the daughter of Edward and Myrtle (White) LeQuire was born on February 3, 1935 in Grafton, ND. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1953. On August 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to Russell Kivi in Grafton ND. They lived in Bismarck, Grafton, Cokato, Marshall and Dassel. She was a devout member of the Church of St. John. She enjoyed traveling with Russell. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. Her hobbies were reading, knitting, crocheting and playing cards and bingo. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children Terah Kivi of Longmont, CO, Kelly (Tom) Berreau of Robbinsdale, Mary (Doug) Desens of Litchfield, Shelly (Clint) Christians of Watkins, and Marc Kivi (Lynn Jeys) of Big Lake; grandchildren Haakon and Asa Anderson, Danielle (Spencer) Johnson, Travis (Rhiannon) Pankake, Andrew and Alexa Desens, Kendra and Lukas Christians; great grandchildren Ayva, Lola, Bela, and William Pankake, Gracie and Avery Johnson, and Caroline Desens; and sisters Betty Machart, Shirley Langer, Bev Bolduc and Mary Hewitt; brothers-in-law Kenny (Mary) Kivi of Minneapolis, LeRoy Kivi of South Haven, Gordy Kivi of Madison Lake, and Jerry (Deanna) Kivi of Eagan; and sister-in-law Jeanette Kivi of Minneapolis. She was preceded by her parents Edward and Myrtle; husband Russell; great grandson Erik Anderson; brothers Louie LeQuire, John Le Quire, Gene LeQuire, Lloyd LeQuire, Tommy LeQuire and Jimmy LeQuire; brothers-in-law Phil and John; and sisters-in-law Mary Jane, Ruth, Lorraine, Carol Jean.
