Hattie Rose Neu

Hattie Rose Neu, age 89, of Litchfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born to the late Ralph and Hulda (Truehl) Mead in Hawick, MN on March 13, 1935.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on March 15, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Family will greet friends for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

In her youth, Hattie attended New London school and was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and in her free time, enjoyed watching TV(Westerns), occasional trips to the casino, and working on her flower beds.

Hattie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Herbert Neu; children, Kenneth (Mary) Neu, Pauline Johnson, Dale (Susan) Neu, Sharlene (Kenneth Jr) Koelln, Darlene Neu (Randy Cords), Brian (Anna) Neu, and Douglas Neu; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 6 step great-great grandchildren; sister, Estella Masters; and beloved dog, Bailey.

In addition to her parents, Hattie is preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret, Minnie, Cynthia, Wilbur, Junior, Betty, Charles, Russell, and Vera; son-in-law, Buddy; and great grandson, Joseph.
