Harold Lee Wells

Harold ""Lee"" Wells, age 78, of Litchfield, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on January 21st, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Litchfield Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on Monday at the church. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Lee was born on October 16, 1936 in Peoria, IL to Harold and Vernetta Wells. He will be remembered for his strong faith, sense of humor, his deep love for his wife of 40 years, family and dog, Buddy and the twinkle in his eye. Lee served in the US Navy for three years before becoming a life-long salesman. He started H. Lee Wells & Associates 25 years ago and sold billboards with business partner Mike Sheehan (of Watertown, SD) until the day before his passing – he loved his work! He also loved telling jokes and had the most optimistic outlook on life. He made friends with anyone he met and loved surprising and spoiling his wife. Lee is survived by his wife, Mary Ann – the love of his life, daughters: Debbie Kilgore (and life partner Karen Fletcher) of Lebanon, IN, Brenda Irvin of Litchfield, MN, Leanna Wells of Las Vegas, NV and Julie Ann (and Serge) Lussier of Richardson, TX, brother-in-law John Winquist, very special friend Kim Johnson of Humboldt, IA and Lee's MN granddaughters Sarah (and Mike) Doering of Litchfield, MN and Lizzie Johnson of Woodbury, MN, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Harold ""Tex"" Wells Jr., his parents, brother Bill Wells and in-laws Larry and Edie Winquist.
