Harold R.C. Wallmow

Harold R. C. Wallmow, age 87, of Darwin, MN died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:30 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in the Ellsworth Cemetery. Harold Robert Carl Wallmow, the son of Harry and Lona (Seefeldt) Wallmow was born at his home in Ellsworth Township, MN on August 29, 1927. He received his education at the Ellsworth Township #66 rural Country School and was united in marriage to Arlene Zaeska on September 10, 1950 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Atwater, MN. Throughout his life Harold was a dairy farmer and also raised chickens and pigs. He was an active member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer and was on many church boards. He was active on the Ellsworth Township Board, the Ellsworth School Board, the Ellsworth Cemetery Board and was president of the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed playing softball when he was young, going to dances with his wife Arlene, reading, going for drives and milking cows. He is survived by his children Wayne (Siobhan) Wallmow of Sumter, SC, Sheldon Wallmow of Litchfield, MN, Dean Wallmow of Darwin, MN, Lynette Wallmow of Ramsey, MN and Larry (Idie) Wallmow of Rogers, MN; grandchildren Christopher, James, Taylor, Lucas, Julia, Lauren, Jake, Morgan, Leah and Cathryn; brothers Howard (Beatrice) Wallmow of Litchfield, MN and Myron (Lynn) Wallmow of Walla Walla, WA; sisters-in-law Doris (Roger) Tipka and Ramona Werner; brothers-in-law Charlie (Sharon) Zaeska, Jerome (Maija) Zaeska and Lewey Angrimson.
