Harold Mathews

Harold D. Mathews, age 87, of Litchfield, MN, died at Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN, Friday March 18, 2011. Harold Druice Mathews was born on October 12, 1923 in East Grand Forks, MN to James and Deffa (Smith) Mathews. He was united in marriage to Helen L. Reichow. He was a lifelong resident of St. Paul, MN. He will be remembered as a beloved dad and grandpa, a WWII Veteran, an avid ballroom dancer and an all-around great guy. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Navy Club. He is survived by his son, Greg (Judy) Mathews of Litchfield, MN; daughter Susan of St. Croix Falls, Wi; granddaughters Amy, Jennifer (Chris) and Kristina (Dave); 5 great granddaughters and a brother, Tom (Agnes). He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen; brother Blaine; sisters, Edna and Clara and great grandson Matthew.
