Glenn R. Rosenow

January 1, 1934 — March 30, 2019

Glenn Reginald Rosenow, the son of Harry and Marietta (Umberhocker) Rosenow was born on July 8, 1934 in Ellsworth Township, MN. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1952 and served in the Army National Guard for six years from April 1957 to October 1963, with six months active duty at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Reed on September 10, 1960. Throughout the years, Glenn worked on the railroad, and dairy and crop farmed, along with raising purebred Berkshire hogs. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was an Elder, the Meeker County Saddle Club and the Manannah Snowmobile Club. Glenn’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He always had a smile and a gift of visiting with friends and strangers alike. He enjoyed coon hunting, and his many dogs over the years, throwing horseshoes, playing cards, riding horses and being out on the farm. He was witty and will be remembered for his storytelling, his jokes and legendary one liners. He was honest and warm, he worked hard and lived with dignity. He was a great man. He is survived by his wife Betty Rosenow of Grove City, MN; children Brian (Kellie) Rosenow of Grove City, MN, Rhonda (Tom) Dahlstrom of Howard Lake, MN, Renee Rosenow of Litchfield, MN, Renita (Todd) Rohloff of Dassel, MN and Brooks (Kelly) Rosenow of Shakopee, MN; grandchildren Kirsten Rosenow, Brennan (Jessica) Rosenow, Kayla Rosenow, Joshua Rosenow, Jessica Rosenow-Dahlstrom, Annabelle Rosenow-Dahlstrom, Jordan Rosenow, Tyler Delp, Torey Rohloff (and fiancé Anna), Taeya Rohloff, Emma Rosenow and Riley Rosenow; brothers and sisters Robert (Diane) Rosenow of Litchfield, MN, Ione (Budd) Christensen of Litchfield, MN and Beatrice Donovan of Florida.. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Marietta; sister Laverne; brothers and sisters-in-law; and nephew Doug.
