Gerald 'Jerry' J. Raskie

Gerald ""Jerry"" J. Raskie, age 72, of Litchfield, MN, died on Friday, April 5, 2013 in his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley cemetery. Gerald ""Jerry"" John Raskie, the son of John and Florence (Hess) Raskie, was born on January 13, 1941 in Kingston, MN. He received his education in Kingston and was united in marriage to Iris Rutkowski in Litchfield on May 19, 1961. Gerald worked at First District in Litchfield for 27 1/2 years. He was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, camping, traveling, playing cards and taking trips to the casino. He is survived by his wife Iris of Litchfield, MN; children, John (and Mary) Raskie of Litchfield, MN, Joey (and Paula) Raskie of Katy, TX, Jeff Raskie of Kansas City, KS, Joan Raskie of Willmar, MN and James (and Anne) Raskie of Maple Grove, MN; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley (and Rodney) Anderson of Nevis, MN, Eva Heyer of Park Rapids, MN, and Pam (and Daniel) Johanneck of Litchfield, MN; mother-in-law Josie Hansen of Litchfield, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence; brother Glen; sister, Kathy; brothers-in-law, Larry Heyer and Ronald Miller and step-father-in-law James L.
