Gary Dean Miller

Gary Dean Miller, age 82, of Litchfield, MN passed away on January 8, 2018, at Lakeside Nursing Home in Dassel, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Calvary Cemetery. Gary Miller was born on April 29, 1935, in California, MO. He was the eldest son of Albert Miller and Gladys Felling (Schenewerk). He actively served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He was united in marriage to Rose Schreifels on June 18, 1960. During their marriage, they lived in several locations before eventually settling in Litchfield. In June 1978, Gary received a technical degree in Audio Visual Technology and Photography from the Hutchinson Area Vocational Technical Institute. He was employed by the Litchfield School District as an Audio/Video Repair Technician for many years before his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, photography, programming, reading and spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield. Gary is survived by his brother Keith Miller of Moab, UT, daughter Sandra Kushman of Duluth, MN and son John (Donna) Miller of Litchfield, MN and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Miller, mother Gladys Felling (Schenewerk), stepfather Bernard Felling and brother Ronald Miller.
