Gail S. Doering, age 62, of Litchfield died on Tuesday, August 10, 2015 in Goodyear, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 21st the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with a parish prayer service at 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Gail Susan Doering, the daughter of Allen and Adeline (Westrup) Snegosky, was born on April 3, 1953, in Litchfield. She grew up in Litchfield and received her education from the Litchfield schools; graduating from Litchfield High School in 1971. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota and received a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. On July 14, 1973 she was united in marriage to Ray Doering at the Church of St. Philip. They made their home near Buffalo while she continued to attend college and Ray worked in Litchfield. They moved to Litchfield in 1975, and she taught at the Dassel-Cokato school for a few years before becoming a mother and home maker. Later she began filling in as part time book keeper at Agri-Systems and Systems West. Gail was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. She expressed her love for her family by spending time with them and being involved with their activities. Whether it was designing and sewing costumes for the Little Crow Ski Team, family gatherings and holidays with the Snegoskys or taking time to color and do puzzles with her grandchildren, her love flowed through her actions and words. Gail was an extremely talented seamstress and also enjoyed cooking and baking. Many people will miss her delicious holiday treats which she made to share with others. Family, friends, and organizations were blessed by her creativity, design and crafting abilities. Gail liked to shop and was amazing at choosing thoughtful gifts for her family. She liked to travel whether spending time at the cabin in Wyoming or winters in Arizona. She loved the sun and being near the water. She could be found many sunny days reading a book on the dock at their home on Lake Minnie Belle. She is survived by her husband Ray Doering of Litchfield; children, Erin (and Patrick) Forster of Ft. Collins, Co, Michael (and Sarah) Doering of Litchfield, Eric (and Stacey) Doering of Litchfield; grandchildren, Adeline and Owen Forster and Bridger and Emmy Doering. She is also survived by her siblings, Karen (and Patrick) Buckley of White Plains, NY, Tom (and Linda) Snegosky of Calabash, NC, Bob (and Cindy) Snegosky of Hudson, WI, Ruth (and Pete) Ackerman of Litchfield, Don (and Barb) Snegosky of Maple Grove, Kent (and Diane) Snegosky of Litchfield, Gary (and Connie) Snegosky of Otsego; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
