Fredrick Harold Severson

Fred H. Severson, age 76, of Monticello, MN died on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Lakeview Ranch near Darwin, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church near Cloquet, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at 3pm in Oneota Cemetery, Duluth. Fred Harold Severson, the son of Harold and Delores (Stienhilb) Severson, was born on October 8, 1941 in Duluth. He grew up in Duluth and attended school, there graduating from Denfeld High School in 1959. On April 16, 1966 he was united in marriage to Carol Klossner in Duluth. Fred worked as a printer for the Duluth News Tribune until 2000 and then worked security at the Miller Mall until 2009. In 1969 they moved to Saginaw, MN where they lived until moving to Monticello in 2015. Fred was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Munger, MN. He loved to fish and many Fridays he could be found in the boat with his pastor and friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Severson of Monticello, sons Brian Severson of Monticello and Kyle Severson of Forest Lake; grandchildren Gabriel, Connor and Cooper Severson. He is also survived by his brother Ed (Mary) Severson of Oakdale, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
