Frances Weseman

Frances R. Weseman, age 80, of Grove City, MN, died on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN where she has been a resident for 7 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Interment will be held in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Frances Renita Weseman, the daughter of John and Rose (Jukulen) Eckles was born on July 18, 1928 in Brown County, MN. She graduated from St. James High School in 1945. Frances was united in marriage to Marvin Weseman on December 14, 1947 in the Albion Church in Godahl, MN. They lived in Ceylon, MN before moving to Grove City in 1961, where she was a nurses aide at Bethany Homes in Litchfield for 11 years. Frances was an active member of the Immanual Lutheran Church in Grove City for many years. She later became a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Frances was also a member of the Grove City Sunshine Club. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and spending time with her family. Frances is survived by her husband Marvin of Grove City, MN; son David J. (and Valorie) Weseman of Grove City; 7 grandchildren Lorri (and Gregg) Boonstra of Grove City, MN, David L. Weseman of Litchfield, MN, Shelly (and Mike) Dahl of Grove City, MN, Jody Weseman (and fiancé Ben Herbert) of Morro Bay, CA, Mike Weseman of Grove City, MN, Kate Weseman of San Diego, CA and Kelly Weseman of Grove City, MN; 4 great grandchildren Mia Dahl, Paige Dahl, Jake Boonstra and Lilly Boonstra all of Grove City, MN; sisters Inga (and Merton) Iliff of Zimmerman, MN, Abbie (and Bob) Larsen of Fredric, WI and Judy (and Dave) Neff of Bradenton, FL; and life long friend Dorothy Carter of Bemidji, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Rose; and a daughter Debbie.
